Our History

Rehoboth Temple Church of Christ was established in 1925 by Bishop Robert C. Lawson in Columbus, Ohio and is affiliated with the Organization, Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., headquartered in New York, New York.  In the 86 year history, Rehoboth has been divinely blessed with gifted, dynamic pastors. Bishop Hubert J. Spencer pastored from 1927 until his passing in 1973; Bishop Kenneth L. Bligen from 1974 to 2000; and its current pastor, Bishop Bradford Berry, began his pastorate in 2001, and, along with his wife, Lady Norma Berry, continues to humbly serve and build on the great legacies.

Located in the “heart of the city, with the people of the city in its heart,” the Rehoboth Temple Church is currently sited at 1111 E. Long Street, and stands as a beacon of light ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of the community. Always striving to reach unbelievers with the life-changing truth of the Gospel and lead each member into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, Rehoboth ministries are specific to youth and men and women of all ages.
